In 2007, one of the most celebrated baby showers was that of Tori Spelling’s. Known for her role as Donna on Beverly Hills 90210, Tori and her husband Dean McDermott were expecting the baby on March. They held the baby shower on February 3.

Since the couple knew they were having a baby boy, they had a blue-themed co-ed baby shower at the Elixir Tonic and Tea, in West Hollywood. 50 guests were invited, including Loni Anderson and Tori’s Beverly Hills co-star Jennie Garth. The party was planned by Jo Gartin of Love Luck and Angels, and sponsored by Tupperware.

Everyone enjoyed a sumptuous snack of tuna melts, grilled cheese sandwiches, mini corndogs (learn how to make a crispy corn dog) and pigs in a blanket. They also enjoyed blue desserts, including blue popsicles.

The proud mommy and daddy received gifts like Tummy Honey products and Bumble Bags diaper bags. They also gave their guests $600 gift bags from the The Silver Spoon. The bags were filled with Kama Sutra Weekender love kits, Too Faced Lip Injection, Michael Stars T-shirts, a $250 pearl bracelet from Pearl Paradise and many more.

With all these, it’s no wonder Tori’s baby shower marked as one of the most unforgettable celebrity baby showers of 2007.

The award-winning actress and songwriter Minnie Driver is due to have a baby in August. As any excited mom goes, she can’t give birth without having a fun celebration first! Along with 40 of her close friends and family members, Minnie had a baby shower last June 21. It was a casual event, held at a friend’s home in Malibu.

The party was simple, with pink and white peonies decorating the venue. Minnie and guests snacked on basil lemonade, finger sandwiches and berry cake from from the West Hollywood bakery Sweet Lady Jane. They also enjoyed painting onesies, and the guests wrote sincere greetings in a book for the actress.

It seems like yesterday when we watched her in Sin City, Fantastic Four and Good Luck Chuck. Now Jessica Alba’s officially a mommy! She gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Honor Marie, last June 7. She and her husband Cash Warren, couldn’t have been prouder of their bundle of joy.

As tradition goes, the lovely Jessica had a little celebration with her family and friends, before the baby arrived. Even though Tyra Banks already gave her a pre-baby shower celebration on the Tyra Banks Show, Jessica’s official baby shower was held last April 6. It was at the Ever After Teahouse in Studio City, Los Angeles, at around 1:30 in the afternoon.

Jessica greeted her guests, wearing an elegant and flowing Isabella Oliver halter dress that showed her baby bump in a chic manner. The party was held outside, with stylish lavender and white decorations, covered by white umbrellas and accented by light jazz music. There were only about 25 to 30 guests invited, including actress Jamie King and TV personality Kim Kardashian. Everyone feasted on delicious pulled chicken, eclairs, tiger shrimp, mini donuts, mini custard tarts, dark and white chocolate-dipped strawberries, white wine and lemonade.

Jessica’s baby got a lot of gender-neutral gifts, including a large stuffed bunny, a set of Dr. Seuss’ books, yellow and green clothes and a high-end stroller.

The guests also went home with their own party favors, provided by the organic baby food company Tastybaby. The goodie bags included children’s toys and recipe books for parents.

Britney Spears flew home to Louisiana last weekend to attend the baby shower for her 17-year old sister, Jamie Lynn. The younger sibling shocked fans when she announced her pregnancy and engagement to Casey Aldridge last year.

Various media reports state the number of guests at the baby shower from between 12 and 30. No matter the number of attendees, it seemed the affair was casual and girly, including pedicures and colorful balloons for the celebration. Jamie Lynn and Casey are expecting their daughter to arrive in June.
