One of your friends found out she’s having a baby, and as tradition goes, she’ll be holding a baby shower to celebrate the blessing. You’ve been invited to the party, and you’re all set to go. The only thing bothering you is the gift you’ll be giving the baby. It’s only polite for guests to bring gifts during a baby shower as a way of extending their congratulations to the parents and welcome to the baby.

You’d love to give a beautiful and expensive baby shower gift your friends will appreciate, but the problem is that you don’t have the adequate budget. Gifts like cribs, walkers, and high chairs are out of the question, and although you’d like to give baby products, you know other guests would be bringing the same things.

What you need is an inexpensive, but useful gift that’ll show your sincere warm wishes for the child. You should consider a fleece blanket.

It might seem like an unimportant item, but the truth is, every infant needs a blanket. Blankets give warmth and protection to a child while he or she is lying down and they also serve as heirlooms. Most baby blankets last for years, and are sometimes passed from one generation to another. Since fleece is a comfy material, a blanket made from this cloth is a popular choice among many people.

If you’re creative and patient enough, you can also make your own fleece blanket.

Making your own fleece blanket is not only touching, but also will show that you really gave some effort for the gift. Just buy some fleece cloth at a fabric store, then trim the edges and fringe them. If you want, you could also cut slits on the outside, and then tie them in knots to keep them together.

Baby shower gifts don’t always have to be expensive. A fleece blanket is a simple present, but one that the parents and their babies will cherish for a long time.

Oh they're so cute and I'm sure they're so comfortable! And since babies usually wet themselves especially in the first year or so, having a lot fo them will definitely be a plus!
