Baby Bath Time Companions: Rubber Ducky As Shower Gifts
Your pregnant friend’s birthday bash is coming up, and you’re all set to go, except for one concern: what present will you bring for her baby? A baby shower is all about showering the unborn infant with gifts, as a way of showing sincere congratulations to the parents, and giving a rousing welcome to the baby. You can’t go to the baby shower without a gift, since you’ll certainly look a bit rude.
There are numerous baby shower gift options, but of course, you want yours to be unique and memorable. Popular choices are clothes, baby feeding products, furniture and blankets, but the problem with these is they’re too common and you’re sure other guests will be bringing similar items. Why don’t you get the baby a toy? A rubber ducky would be a cute and funny choice. (see Gigantic Bath-time buddy)

It might seem a bit old-fashioned, but rubber duckies are still a popular part of many children’s bath time routine. When children become a bit older, giving them a bath can be a bit difficult. To help distract them and make their cleaning ritual more enjoyable, parents give a rubber ducky to them as a bath companion. Giving the parents a rubber duck will be like saving them from numerous difficult bath moments with their child.
Rubber duckies, contrary to their name, aren’t made of rubber anymore, but of vinyl plastic. These toys can come in different sizes, colors, and shapes. Some look like regular cute yellow ducks, while some come in neon hues. A rubber ducky can also give a squeaking or whistling sound to delight the child. There are also duckies that squirt water from their mouths.

If you plan to give a rubber ducky as a baby shower gift, make sure the material it’s made of isn’t harmful. Some toys contain harmful chemicals that can be toxic to children. Check the rubber ducky’s label first before buying it.
Since giving a rubber ducky as a shower present might seem a bit tacky, it’s nice if you include some bath products with it. A cute baby towel, and some baby soap and shampoo will do. You can place these in a basket, or in a small, plastic beach pail, like the one children play with when they go to the beach.
For a cute and memorable baby shower gift, a rubber ducky is a good choice. Parents and children find this toy simply adorable, especially during bath time! If you enjoy reading this article, you’ll surely be delighted to learn how to disinfect toys.

I agree about making sure the ducky isn't made of any toxic material. Actually, this goes to any gifts you might give to a baby. Babies have a habit of putting everything in their mouth so you better be sure it's not dangerous or they'll end up in a hospital or worse.
